Untitled Project: Part 1, White Knight

(this isn't the full intro, i'll work on it later)
The moon was a thin crescent. Alton saw it more as a semi sadistic smile, half expecting the Cheshire Cat's head to appear around the moon, taking it as a mouth. He stared at it through the windshield, almost in awe.

"What's on your mind?" Jordyn asked, her pale eyes on the road, with both hands on the wheel. She wasn't physically acknowledging him, but she noticed. She always noticed any change in his attention, his mood, the aura around him. Ever since they met at the beginning of this ordeal.

"Nothing important," Alton replied. He knew she would ask again, he didn't even know why he tried hiding his thoughts.

"I don't believe you," said Jordyn. This time she took a single glance at him. This took him by surprise.

"I'm wondering if what we did back there was right. Were we really being what a White Knight is supposed to be"

"Alton, you've a lot to learn. Being a White Knight isn't about doing what you think it's right. It's doing what you KNOW is right. You might not feel very comfortable right now, but it'll grow on you. Eventually, you'll love every second." She was talking about murder, for they had just killed a group of armed men who did not agree with their organization's ideals. As White Knights, they are to kill members of opposing factions, it is only natural, survival of the strongest. And, again, by nature, the reward of being the strongest is the spread of influence.

"I don't know about this," he sighed. He looked out the window for the comforting smile that was the moon, but it had hidden behind the clouds.

"Looks like it is going to rain soon," Jordyn pointed out.

"So it does," replied Alton. "I need to find a place to stay soon. Know of any hotels?" He felt strange about abandoning the previous conversation, but he decided to get back to it later. For now, he decided to deal with his current dilemma.

Tower Prep

I'm bored and writing a review and there's nothing you can do about it!

Cartoon Network has held many of our favorite childhood cartoons with clever little plots and stories that entertained us for hours of our lives, but recently they've begun creating live action shows. Two or three of these were reality shows, such as "Hole in the Wall" (which is a blatant ripoff of a segment from a Japanese game show) and "Destroy Build Destroy," that pits two teams of prepubescent teenagers against eachother as they destroy a vehicle or some other large object, and build their own vehicles out of the debris, the Franken-mobiles, as I like to call them, having the only objective of destroying the other team's vehicle. Anyway, back to the point. From their two most (apparently) promising shows: "Unnatural History" and "Tower Prep," the latter surprisingly kept the interest (while the other just got canceled)

So, Tower Prep, a school-themed mystery that slowly unravels while taking the audience on a roller coaster ride of plot twists and curiosity. The main character is Ian Archer, who's backstory shows that he was suspended (presumably not for the first time) for protecting his weaker friend from a bully. Ignoring his frustrations in a video game, he hears a mysterious buzzing associated with another player, "Whisper119." He then wakes up in a private school apparently in the middle of nowhere, where he was placed due to his unique ability, dubbed "preflex," to see some seconds into the future which makes him an excellent combatant.

The creators waste no time in the pilot as they quickly introduce his motivations for leaving and his trusted circle, which consist of a girl with no (apparent) past who can read people's emotions, a young geeky boy with the ability of persuasion (seriously, persuasion), and a girl from a family that owns a tech company who can impersonate voices (too well).

Being only 12 episodes long, there is no filler. This makes every episode as important than the last which is one of the biggest selling points as there is no bullshit. Everything ties up nicely in the end with a Cliffhanger that keeps you  eagerly wanting the second season. I have to admit, I didn't really expect this show to be what it was, but I sure as hell enjoyed it.

The Grand Return of the Flame

Yes. I've gone on a sudden hiatus, I know, but for good reason. I was at home too much, and this blog, I decided, was wasting my time since I had nothing to say. I had yet to function within acceptable parameters of society. I figured, "Hey, I'll just come back when I'm someone again." I don't have a job yet, but I will begin school soon. I will not say where for the sake of anonymity (and perhaps mystery?) but it's a junior college. It's cheaper, and perhaps once I get a job I'll be able to pay it successfully. So worry not, my dear followers, that is if there are any left. I am back to take up your time with ramblings of daily life, and who knows, I might begin to expand my writing to broaden my writing and sense of "idea territory." I may just end up writing short stories once I feel that my creativity reaches a level that I am comfortable of sharing with the world.
